Discover HE database was developed to demonstrate a wide range
of sector-specific information on higher level courses offered in the North West
by Higher Education Institutions and Further Education Colleges. It offers a starting
point to explore provision for industry sectors from various providers in one single
place and will direct you to individual institutional websites to find out more details.
Although available for use by anyone, this database is primarily aimed at skills brokers and
other intermediaries to assist with:
- Finding initial information on sector-specific courses
- Browsing courses from a range of HE providers in the North West
- Looking for courses in your geographical area
- Getting in touch with our Specialist Advisers to ask any questions you may have
Discover HE has been designed as part of
NW Higher Level Skills Partnership project
project and aims to allow more effective cross working with employers by creating
a single source of provision information for skills brokers and other intermediaries.
It currently includes over 7,500 courses from
15 Higher Education Institutions
and 700 courses from
29 Further Education Colleges
in the North West. We expect the database to be regularly updated as new institutional
data becomes available to include HE provision at all levels (HND/HNC, Foundation
Degree, Honours Degree, Postgraduate Degree, CPD and short courses) currently offered
in HEIs and FECs across the region.
