North West Competitiveness Operational Programme 2007-13

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme allocates funding to different regions throughout the European Union to boost economic development in less prosperous areas. In the North West of England, the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) is responsible for managing the ERDF programme. The programme was allocated €755 million from the ERDF to spend in the North West between 2007 and 2013. The ERDF programme in the North West is known as the Northwest Operational Programme(NWOP)

North West HE Enterprise Champions Project Phase 2 (NCEE)

The HE Enterprise Champions Project in the North West Region of England is supported by the NWDA, financed by the EU and is managed by NCCE in partnership with NWUA. The project first started in 2008. The Phase 2 project runs from 2010 to 2013

HE Sector Co-ordination Project (NWOP)

The NWOP HE Sector Co-ordination Project (1st January 2009 – 31st March 2012) provides technical assistance to the Higher Education (HE) Sector in the North West. The North West Universities Association (NWUA) is responsible for the delivery of the project, continuing its successful activities undertaken in the 2000-2006 programmes and building on the support provided by NWUA in previous HE sector co-ordination roles, but with additional strategic operational and policy input from NWUA staff.
