LEONARDO GRANT FUNDING NOW AVAILABLE TO STAFF AND
STUDENTS AT ALL NORTH WEST HEIs
(please read the details below for further details on eligibility and how to
apply).
The Leonardo da Vinci grant programme is the European Commission’s vocational
training programme that aims to facilitate staff and student mobility
throughout Europe.
Previously, funding was only available to staff and students from the 7 regional
HEIs who were party to the original grant bidding procedure. However due to the
number of grants unallocated at this stage in the programme, we are pleased to
extend this funding opportunity to staff and students at ALL North West HEIs.
Staff Programme
Staff members undertaking a visit to a European organization for a
minimum of 7 days (5 working days, 2 travel days) for the purposes of
exchanging professional knowledge and/or to develop aspects of vocational
training are able to apply for Leonardo da Vinci funding. For further details

Student Programme
Students undertaking a European work placement for a minimum duration
of 13 weeks are able to apply for Leonardo da Vinci funding to assist with
placement costs. For further details please visit

Further Eligibility Criteria
- Placements must be completed by no later than 31 May 2008.
- Placements must be undertaken within the EU (but outside the UK and not
within the applicant’s country of origin).
- Applicants must not be in receipt of an Erasmus grant for the same
placement period.
